Being it was so crappy this weekend, I stayed home from fishing and tied some flies and other projects. Thought I'd share some pics of some vintage mother-of-pearl dodgers that I got on ebay a while back. I put tape on some especially to match the color scheme of pink/pearl apex that has worked well for us at the Gorge. The last in line is a Wild Thing for size comparison. I'll have to give them a try this summer.
I had mother-in-law use black enamal paint and her calligraphy skills to put grandsons' names on a couple others. I spray shellaced over those and added snap swivels, and gave to grand kids as tree decoration before last Christmas. Looked good on their tree if I do say so myself.
I'd be interested if anyone had ever used anything like these and any info on the approximate year of their 'vintage'.
