flaming gorge 05-21-09
Arrived at the gorge on thursday 21st of may in the evening set up camp in lucerne and went out for an hour or two, only caught one bow. Friday morning we headed a little south to try a new area cause i figured the kokes up north had a pounding last weekend, we caught a handful of small bows and small kokes and came unbuttoned on way to many fish . For the evening we Headed up north to my go-to spot and immediatly got into fish, caught our limit of 9 solid kokes and the big W started to go so we reeled up and bombed back to lucerne to have some kokanee dinner. Saturday morning we went out south again so not to burn too much fuel and we wanted to be off the water by 10 or so we couldn't keep the bows off (nothing to brag about) small lakers and one more keeper koke. Red Humdingers did the majority of the damage with the Red Hot head cripplure as runner up 20-35' down on the riggers. will have pics ASAP, they are all on my friends camera
