June 13 Report

My brother and his family fished out of Buckboard Saturday morning. I knew he wouldn't go if I told him the Buckboard Classic was this weekend so I opted not to say anything. He was more than a little upset Friday night when he arrived and couldn't find a decent place to camp.

They started fishing at 5:30am and had no boats around them at all. They picked up their 3 limits in less than 2 hours fishing with FWG dodgers and RMT double glow rainbow squid. He was surprised at how big the kokes were this early and his wife caught a nice one that was 4.3 lb.

I take it he wasn't too upset after the two hour limit and a 4.3# fish?

Good going FishHunter. When you spend most of the time on the water, a good camping spot seems irrelevent.

He got over it pretty quick. He thought there would be a lot more boats out, but they must have started later than he expected. When he called me about 10:00am he was already half way back to Ogden.
