Well Holy Chelada what an Awesome weekend.

All Thanks to Josh & Carsen for having us up to visit their very cool place on the edge of Reno while they are still there for a bit.

We coulda boozed and caught up all night, but we had trout to attend to and

It wasn’t long before Josh was showing Tara and I around the Beautiful Pyramid Lake for our first time.

It was nice and mostly glassy

We set flatfish and big spoons down at 18-22’

And it wasn’t long before I wasn on my first Cutthroat

Worked the shit outta Warrior. It was producing strikes on every pass. With some doubles thrown in a few times.

16-28’ mostly, with 24’ being my magic depth. 2 MPH

The Kokanee Rods Got a good Workout!

Top Lure …Again and Again and Again as in chasing to the surface, yanking from the clip on the way down, on the way Up…

I hooked a good one and it was immediately going the other way and in a downward motion.
A bunch of runs, every time I’d get into my topshot he’d see us and away he goes.
Was exciting. The longer it went the more I thought about all the LDR/SDR fish that through the barbless
But he kept me bent to the fullest the whole battle and we hollered when the net scooped!

And I Hollered again with a whoot and a loud hand clap when he released after a few minutes reviving
