Made it on the reservoir this morning, and was happy to finally catch some kokes! I caught 4 kokanee up to 18-inches while trolling from 40-50 ft at about 2.0 mph. I switched my gear and techniques several times, and caught fish on three different set-ups including: a Needlefish (pearl/red) and Rocky Mountain Tackle dodgers (pink/green and hyper plaid) followed by a pink squid.
Before heading in for the morning, I decided to try and quickly jig-up some lake trout to cook on the smoker. I found an active school of lakers near a large cliff and they couldn't resist a jig (see pic). I caught three pups and another kokanee while jigging for only 15 minutes! Fish were caught on Berkley Gulp minnows jigged 10-20 ft off the bottom. Surface temps have warmed to 67-69F.
Hope it helps, Ryno
