In spite of all the info and advice I get from this site and a very nice gentalman named Jim at the launch ramp this morning, I must register a SKUNK for 9 hours of trying at Berryessa today.
Left Markly’s at 6:30 and headed strait for “Skiers Cove”. Got the gear down on my boat and got in line with the other 5 or 6 boats in the area. My little brother also launched at Markly’s and followed me in pursuit of the elusive Kokanee. We persevered there without a “Swing, Hit, or Miss”. I did meter a few fish between 50 and 70 feet, but no takers. Between little brother and I we tossed everything in the box at them, but no takers. As the other boats drifted away we moved over to the “Ranch House” and on to the “Big Island”, but no takers. We tried the length of the old creek bed from in front of “Skiers Cove” all the way to the “Small Island”, but no takers.
I guess it just wasn’t our day.
