April showers bring May Kokanee.
Here is my Green Peter report for May 1 2010. Joshua, Chester, and I got a really late start on the lake, and fishing was slow. We managed to scratch out 10 or so in the morning and another 15 later in the day for a total of 25 plus one rainbow that we put back. They are running 11 to 13 inches and are starting to group up east of the island between 30 and 40 feet of water although they were close to the top in the morning 15 to 20 feet. We ran four poles two on downrigger and two long lining.
The hot lure of the day was one with this blade on in like this. "Look at picture of R & K lures".
My dad customizes all his own equipment so you wouldn’t be able to pick the exact thing up in the store, but we put another lure out with the same blade and it started to produce fish. We lost a lot of fish but my son is just learning how to net and reel them in. Just guessing dad said we lost about 13. All and all it was a great day and we all had a lot of fun.
