We were supposed to go to Lake Sutherland to try out the kokanee fishing there. Sunday night,my son decided to slip and bit his bottom lip. After a trip to the ER and one stitch, I didn't want to chance driving 2 hours and him not feeling well. So off to local American to see what kind of damage we can do.

Here is todays crew.. my two sons and my nephew

The fishing was pretty consistent today. The hot two setups were:
Bahama Mama dodger, pink splatterback squid, one pink one white Gulp maggot
Bahama Mama dodger, pink squid, green smilie blade, white Gulp maggots.

I came to the realization today that I am getting to the point that I enjoy taking kids out fihsing and don't really care of I end up reeling in a fish. My sons face tells it how it is:

They ranged from 10-14" The two 10's we kept were bleeding bad..

That looks like a great day on the water.

Don't feel bad for keeping the 10"ers. It's a good lesson in sportsmanship for the boys if the fish is injured or bleeding too bad.
