SuperD has been in the process of having a new house built here in Harrisville, Utah... He is going to be my neighbor sometime in the near future and live across the street from me. A 700mi relocation just to come out to the intermountain west and get into trouble with me. His new home is not far from being completed. This is a 2200 sq.ft Rambler with crawl space on a 1/2 acre lot. This is also a 5 Star energy rated home which is well sealed. A 3 car garage which one side is reserved for the boat. This is the same floor plan I have and I absolutely love it. Alot of the homes built here are multi/bi level and just to hard for me to climb stairs anymore with my bad knees. If anyone is passing thru say on your way to the Gorge, be sure to stop off and say Hi. BBQ's are us. I can accomodate you for an overnighter.

Where are you guys planning on putting the tackle shop. There is still time to plan accordingly.tongue2 Seems like yesterday Super D and Family was in town making arangements for their construction. Looks like they can start using their vacation / retirement home by spring.tooexcited

Hey,i am a new resident of harrisville city myself as of last sept. I live over on connecticut ave, BDuck,SuperD you should give me a hollar if you want to do some ice fishing or fishing this spring if you don't like cold toes.I am not even close to retirement but i have every thurs,fri, sat off.

Well, I was less reluctant to advertise that Bduck was going to be my neighbor. laugh hyst But now that he's let the cat out of the bag he's also going to be my security guard and landscape maintenance guy. Although he's proven a deaf guy with bad knees doesn't make a good watchman. Saturday a crew was cutting and installing siding but he had no idea until he wondered over on Sunday. My wife and I are very excited about the new house as we could never come close to something like this in CA. My monthly401K contributions would never generate the amount of income I'm saving by pulling the trigger with house prices this low and interst rates at all time lows. It is going to be a few years before we can retire but we'll have a place to land when we do.
 
Saturday a crew was cutting and installing siding ----- I was wandering what was more important, watching your stinking house being built or football. Do we need a poll on this?

i lived and grew up in harrisville. over by where you live kody.
 
You know if you ran over some night and took out every other stud, before the sheetrockers get there, you would have a nice supply of lumber.101idea101
 
Well, Roger says we're getting close to the end. Pre-close walk is scheduled for the 16th and keys in hand on the 17th.

The first pic is a normal front view of the house. The 2nd is a side view with Roger's house in the background, same floor plan. The 3rd is a side view looking southeast. The 4th is back of house looking northeast.The last pic is from the the back door looking southeast on a mountain with blowing gusts of snow.
 
That was a very cold day those pics were taken. But sure glad the air quality cleaned up for these pic's. 101smilie101
