Possible very Bad News!

Our Governor here in Ct. is planing to make drastic cuts to balance the state budget.

One is to eliminate all 3 state trout hatcheries -> which includes the one that propogates Kokanee Salmon each year from spawners netted.
That would kill all Kokanee fishing here in Ct.

Also wants to reduce conservation officers by 50% !
If that happens -> Poaching will run rampant !

Plus he wants to eliminate all state services to Veterans. tooexcited

If this happens, I think it'll be time for me and the wife to move West.

Thinking Colorado, Utah, or Wyoming, maybe even Idaho.

Most states are always looking to balance budgets and where they need help the most is always what gets cut.

Of the states you mentioned, it is very cold during the winters which shouldn't effect you considering where your at. Wyoming is very windy but has the least population. You can be at a matter of a couple hours from the Gorge where ever you select. Housing market here is still in good shape with reasonable prices. Couldn't tell you about the market else where but I presume it's doing the same.
