Just bought a new Tohatsu with a internal tank. Since a external tank can also be used I'm going to make my own fuel line...does it really matter what type of fitting (female&male) is on the external tank end? Would Tohatsu hardware be required or could Yamaha fittings be used? I know a Tohatsu fitting needs to hook up to the motor but why would it matter at the other end?
