Took a ride up to Rockport Lake yesterday for a possible fishing trip for a couple hours with a friend thats camped up there. The lake has been drain very low in anticipation of catching the runoff which it in the process of refilling. Lake lice taking up what pond there is. Fishing trip a bust. About 8 miles down stream of Rockport, Echo Lake is running about 10' below max with water coming over spillway. On my way back, I decided to take the turnoff to E Canyon Reservoir. Its running at full pool with nothing over the spillway yet but its coming too.
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to fish out 2 of these lakes this spring with all of the bad weather we've had. Now we are going from crappy weather that kept you from getting the boat out right into very nice weather and the lake lice sprung up like a bad weed in the yard. 101no101
