Me and couple of buddies made the venture up to porqupine this morning to try our luck for some kokes. Upon arrival we found some open water on the center of the lake but good ice 6" or so inches on the dam side.
We set up shop over 100' of water and immediatly seen tons of kokes on the radar but they were not too active.(or just too small to bite) After about an hour of denials we finally hook a small brown, then a small koke, then a nice koke, then a GRANDE brown, all suspended. That was all for the day 6 or so bites between 5 rods from sunup till noon. Home before the storm.

Thanks guys, definetly was a big surprise to see that brown come up on the deck.tooexcited
Kokehead, we never really had a koke bite there seems to a lot of em down there, but we couldn't entice em. The one koke was a 14incher, which is on the big side for this early in the season and the other was 8" or so. I want to fill the smoker myself but can't seem to catch more than 1 or 2 at a time.
