Had an awesome day today at Arrowrock!! Put in at 12:30 p.m. and left the water at 6:00 p.m. Jetted straight across from the launch and started with 3 colors. Orange, Pink, and Green. Green got hit a couple times and landed both trout. No hits on the orange and the pink was slow at first and then the gates opened up. We switched all 3 rods to pink blades with combination of pink hoochies and R&K spinners. Had multiple double ups and even a triple up. We boated 7 koks which 5 were over 15". Boated 12 trout and let quite a few go. Lost 6 nice koks but that's kok fishing:) It was still a great day!! Looking forward to going again soon:) Good luck everyone!

Way to go, FI! You gotta love those pink R&K hoochies. Those hooks should come with a warning....can't count how many times they've gotten me. So, how deep were the kokes? Mike

Beautiful kokes! Nice job. Nice day to be on the water. Can a 2 wheel drive truck use the boat ramps safely at Arrowrock? Sorry if it is a dumb question, I am new to the area.

Do you prefer flashers or dodgers?

Kokaneenation,
Here is a great site to check if ramps are accessable at both Lucky Peak and Arrowrock. http://www.usbr.gov/pn/hydromet/ramps/lucky/lucky.html You can switch reservoirs in the upper right hand corner.
As far as dodgers or flashers. I usually start with a dodger and will go to flashers as a last resort. I will put flashers on my downrigger before putting them on my line. The less drag the better.

Thank you Steve. Excellent information. The boat ramp site is great.

Ramp on Arrowrock is just fine...the road to get there is a bit rough and can have rockslide debris on it pretty much anytime...but aside from getting a little muddy and the bumpy ride its fine...

What is the water temp at arrowrock? When longlining at this time of year is it similar set backs to lucky peak, around 100 feet? Glad to see a few anglers starting to catch more than one or two fish for a day of fishing.
