Had a hot day (fishwise, that is) on Lake Quinalt, started about 8:30 or so, had 15 fish by 4:30.Could have limited as the bite just got red hot by the late afternoon. Released a small Chinook( about 8 inches, first we've seen in this lake, also a 15 3/4 inch rainbow, another 1/4 inch and it would be considered a steelhead by the Quinalt tribe and would have to be released. A pale meat silvery fish, could be a resident that has not gone to sea, without a dam the fish themselves decide. Some cuts are residents and some are sea-runs at this time of year.Trolling spoons at about two miles an hour worked, bigest Dolly was 3 lbs., biggest cut was just over 15 1/4, 7 dollys, 7 cuts, and a rainbow, lost a couple on long line releases. A great day for us, 15 fish is plenty, even for pescitarians like us, even though limit is 24 for both of us..Lack of fishing pressure and skier and jet skis make this a world class destination. Bob R
