Seeing as I live in eastern Oregon and am not real fond of a lot driving, the local (to me) places are Phillips Reservoir, Olive Lake, Malhuer Reservoir and occasionally Thief Valley Reservoir. Olive Lake's water level doesn't change but the rest of 'em do. Phillips at this time is only about 36% full but has good trout fishing if you can get past those pesky yellow perch. Thief Valley has been drained and it's open season with no limits 'til Oct. 1st. I haven't heard anything about Mahuer but I'd suspect it's pretty low as this has been a very dry summer. Good rainbow fishing. .biggest I've gotten there was 25" earlier this summer.
