I live kind of out in the boonies and go to Baker City every week or so. When the weather is decent, I'll stop at Phillips Reservoir on the way home and fish for a while off the bank. Yesterday I wound up with a few good sized brookies and one nice rainbow, several hit before I even got the line snugged up. Brook trout aren't my favorite so they're destined for the smoker. The rainbow didn't make it past the stove.
I met a fellow that was targeting the yellow perch. In a couple of hours he'd half filled a 5 gallon bucket with the pesky critters.
