Mother nature played a little havoc with our plans for the holiday weekend. We had to cancel our lake powell trip. Thursday we headed over to Starvation in hopes of finding some walleye and perch. A big skunk on those two but the rainbows were eager to play. We trolled bottom bouncers from 20'-50' and saw very few marks on the sonar. We started at salteraus wash and ended up at the strawberry river inlet. Brought home 4 fat rainbows for the smoker. The storm forced me to stay home and do honey-do's friday-sunday. Today we went up to Strawberry and fished from shore. Boy was I disapointed when we arrived, the boat ramp was dry. We got a foot of snow at the house here in SLC, there wasn't even an inch of snow up at strawberry. We had one bite behind the lodge at the marina and then moved over to the ladders were we were skunked. There were blue skies, comfortable temps and no wind. The fishing was great the catching was non existent. Oh yeah, did I tell you I'm tired of listening to my wife complain about why we didn't bring the boat.
