Took a ride to EC on Sunday and good times are getting close. The ice is pulling away from the shore and stress cracks are widening. Maybe another week and a half will be launch able.
On the other hand, I received a report of Bear Lake that there is 17 1/2" of ice with 9" of snow on top. Don't expect to launch on this lake until Memorial day but ice fishing is going strong with descent catches of Cutts & Lakers. It has been one of those long very cold record setting winters this year.
