I stopped by the public launch ramp at lake Mac Murrey today. I got to the ramp at the same time as a couple of fishermen. They were pulling their boat out. They did not get any Kokanee, but they did get several cutthroat and several rainbows. It seems the Rainbows( stocked) were all infected with white worms. Just like the coho on Riffe Lake. None of the cutthroat were infested.
I have to wonder if the infestation came from the hatchery? Also how will the State get rid of this problem? Will they even try?
