Spent the 7/15 week at East Twin here in CT. I fished most mornings from 5 AM to 7 AM. I trolled the southern part of the lake in about 60 FOW with a rigger depth between 30 and 35 feet. The fish pictured were all between 17 and 18 inches. I caught and release numerous Kokes in the 7 to 8 inch range and probably lost an additional 5 Kokes in the 17 inch or so category, there were smarter than I.

Nice fish Doug. Well done. I know it was an early morning bite but did you try late in the day or evening?

I did try late afternoon and at dusk, but only managed 1 small Koke. I mainly concentrated on the morning. I was a great week to be on the lake though.

Nice fish! My Friend and I trolled a few mornings this past week 7/21 and got all browns (maybe 5-6 landed in 3 mornings. Lost a 5 lb+ alongside the boat. NO KOKES AT ALL though! we were fishing over 35-40 ft at 25-30 fow. Maybe I was too shallow? What were you using (if you are willing to share)? I used a pink fly behind a pink dodger tipped with shoepeg and pink maggots. Anywho thank for the report.
