Dworshak Kokanee 2015

Spent 5 days Kokanee fishing over the 4th.......... it was hot! Hot! Hot!....... Everyday we fished the bite got better. Last two days we both limited. Yes the fish are small, and the water is being dropped, but the fishing is still good. We were fishing at about marker 22.6 - 10 miles above the Dent bridge. Surface temp was 80 fishing at 22-30 ft on downriggers and 66 ft out the back with a 2 oz weight. We agree the fish are small but anyone who has fished this lake can tell you size varies quite a bit from year to year. Still good eating fish. Brought home a good number and have smoked them.........a really good snack.

Welcome to the forum Fishwacker. Sounds like a fun and successful five days of fishing. Like many on here say, they are all the same size when they are in the jar, or in your case, in the smoker.
