TK, I had been wanting a nice limit stick and had the idea for this design in my head. I made contact with one of the metal sign makers you see at craft fairs and he put it all together for me. A piece of pipe, bike hand grips and the fish cut out with the plasma cutter.

Airbrush some paint on your limit stick would make it colorful and further stand out. 101ok101

Last year they started early, around the end of march. I've read a few reports of 14" to 16" koke already. I'll be going out this Thursday to Berryessa and let you know.

I heard the same thing. Unless it changes it could turn into a Friday trip. Not much cover in a Kayak. Good looking out, thanks.

I'll be interested in your report. By the way, what is the daily limit at Berryessa? Also any idea what an out of state licence would cost me? And can you troll with more than one line per person?

Limit is 5 and you can troll with 2 rods providing that you buy the second rod stamp. As for cost, would you be looking for a 7 day license? Yakman, my plans were to hit the lake Saturday so post even if it is late so I can hear how you did.

Just looked it up at DF&G website, 10 day out of state license and second rod stamp will set you back about $60.

Alright thanks, the limit at Green Peter where I usually fish is 25. But then they don't ever get too big. Some other lakes they are counted as trout and there is a five fish limit.

I went out this morning at 7:30, line in by 8:15. I'm in a Kayak so it takes me a little longer. Basically had the place to myself most of the morning. I threw everything I had at them blue green orange pink, used several different dodgers, all to no avail. I do have to say I can't monitor my speed real well, used a G.P.S to get close but it's still a crap shoot. I marked a lot of fish mostly near skiers cove. Didn't get out to the big island (to far) made it about half way, and saw nothing to write home about. One guy at Capel cove said he did well, but wouldn't give details, so the jury is out on that one. I did manage one decent trout, he went back, it can't compare to Koke. That's about it, hope you have better luck SuperD, different day can always bring different results, Oh and a boat and motor can help too.View attachment 6031View attachment 6032View attachment 6033

Yakman and I will be out there on Sat also SuperD. Good luck to ya. Give a holler if you see us. We'll be in a red NR.

On the water report. Losing way more than we are boating. 6 in the box but bite has really slowed
