It was too windy Monday afternoon, launched anyway. could'nt get my trusty lil Johnson 15 to go slow enouph without conking out, after about 10 restarts I had to start rowing back to the launch, into the wind, making no headway into the wind, I found myself being blown right into someone's pier where I held on for dear life. The pier owner came to check on me and I told him my tale of woe. He said I could remain there holding on to pier or I could beach my craft on his beach and walk back to the launch, I chose to cling to his dock like an Alabama tick on a blood hound until the wind abated which would be about 1800 hrs, it was 1702 then. I waited 20 minutes and the wind showed no signs of weakening. so I decided to try another restart and fired up on the first pull and I backed out back into the lake put in forward gear and the wind lost that battle and I made it back loaded up and went home, and Oh Yeah the thermostat on my Ol' truck would not open, but she got us home.
