  • Thanks for the feed back. Since I wrote I saw a place at Hitt and First with a sign that says "ethanol free gas" I have not stopped in yet to check it out but when I do I'll let you know for sure. I found out today that you can get a anual pass for Ririe now. They are not putting a limit on how many sold. May 1 to Oct 31 is $50 for us older folks and $60 for you young ones. I was going to get it today but they want cash. I like being warm more than I like fishing so no sitting on the Ice for me. I do plan on trying to spend a lot more time at Ririe next year, mostly early until the skiers get there and then home for some yard work and Kokanee smoking. When do you get to retire?
    Howdy,

According to my son who is hauling fuel for a company, HA HA HA! He says their is some ethanol in all gas now. So if you head over to Wally World, look for the fuel additive in the bottle in the boating section that is blue in color. That is a 2 year stabalizer for fuel and nuetralizes the effects of ethanol. So how is everything else going for you. I am getting ready for next season slowly. I am actually purchasing a couple of light kokanee reels and kokanee rods. this winter. I have to dave up to get them. If you go to Meridian and you want to get a look at some Kokanee gear, and lures and more there is a new shop up their that is the best stocked that I have ever seen. Aside from that, I sold my boat and purchased a bigger one. I got tired of being rolled around by the ski boats. Other than that, looking forward to retiremnt so I can get a little more time to fish than what I have now. Hope you are well, do you Ice fish. I don't. I like to stay high and dry, and warm. By the way, next year, Ririe should be excellent becuase there were so many 2 year old fish this year. Means, lots of 15 to 16 inch fish this coming season.

    Latter
So this year I am going after some kokanee for the first time. I guess I’ll try first at Ririe once the ice if off. My question is, at this time of the year, do I want to start at the dam or at blacktail.
