We fished Bass Lake this weekend and only one keeper koke was landed in two days. It was a nice fish about 15" and fat. Last year at this time we were limiting with fish about this size almost every trip. I didn't really target kokanee because we are getting ready for the trout derby next weekend. There are a lot of times when we catch more kokanee than trout on this lake when we are trying to get trout. I heard a rumor that three years ago a smaller amount were planted than normal. This would answer the question of why we aren't catching as many as previous years.
Has anyone else had the same experience?
