I have used #4, 10, 11, and 14 behind a small 3 bladed troll that I make. All 4 caught kokanee on Payette Lake. I think #4, 10, and 14 were more productive. I bought them in packs of 2 and tied on my own hooks. I use #6 octopus lazer sharp hooks from Eagle Claw.
thanks I bought several of them and plan on using them this year. they look fishy to me.
This is how I set up my hot tail lures. The first bead is 3mm and the others are 4mm. The total length from the top end of the leader loop to the bottom end of the last hook is about 16 inches. I would be interested to know how you set yours up after you catch some fish. I put some scented corn on the upper hook.
