I requested the dealer put them on when I bought the boat. I wish the spacing was a little farther apart but I would have had to custom order the boat without the rail to get that. That boat was going to be an additional $5,000 so I'll live with it.
Perseverance and patience and the final pieces of the puzzle arrived. The boat is officially fully rigged and ready for testing, even if that means waiting until Spring.

Well, one step closer to having a rigged boat. This past weekend my trolling motor finally arrived after being back ordered for 3 months. A little swearing and some dropped nuts and washers later, it is securely mounted.
I had to build a box under my seat on the old boat so that I could see over my Ulterra. It sat about 6" higher than my old Power Drive and was a real hazard to my vision.
Well, 2 is better than none. Part of my downrigger order arrived yesterday and started mounting immediately. FYI, I hate pulley cords if I don’t have to have them so I made my own booms for the rear riggers for an easy reach to the clip.
It has its days. I have better luck with it mid summer on, probably because I am going deeper with it. Black and blue combo and pink and blue combo is what I like to run. Blue and chartreuse can also get hot.
