2022 Lucky Peak Reservoir Kokanee Report

https://lakemonster.com/lake/ID/Lucky-Peak-Reservoir-173 I haven’t paid for the app yet so I don’t get to see the most up to date images. However, this site is a pretty useful tool for water temps and ice usually.

2022 Lucky Peak Reservoir Kokanee Report

msusprtn Thank you. I was running shorter setback yesterday due to wind and was still catching fish. So my ideas are changing. We fished LP the 2nd and landed 2 12” fish. Running purple hoochies and flies 15’-25’ down.

Is that 15’ deep and 25’ set back? I’ve never ran that close so I’m intrigued. I usually go by the 100’ rule. If the googans had any sliver of respect or courtesy, I’d fish LP more.

2022 Lucky Peak Reservoir Kokanee Report

Some days I really miss retirement. Being 40 and retired though I fished by myself a lot. All my friends had jobs still hahahaha. Thank you for the great report. I have been wondering if the fishing was going to be good like last year.

2022 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

We left Friday for the weekend at Salmon Falls. Saturday afternoon after not even a bite, we headed to Anderson. Fished 9-5 Sunday and ended up bringing home 13 and releasing 1 nice rainbow. I really thought all the fish were very healthy and felt bigger than the looked when I got the fillet...

    Salmon Falls

Last year I ran to what I assume is the shallow end. It was 6-10’ deep and a mud bottom. Then I do remember seeing the rock cliffs and thinking they’d be good. Honestly, and sincerely I appreciate your help. Thank you so much.

    Salmon Falls

Okay thank you very much. I’ve only been there once so I was trying to gather more info. Looking online it appears there’s a bunch of different fish species in the reservoir. Should be s fun trip.

    Salmon Falls

Does anyone know if there really are Chinook and Kokanee in Salmon Falls Reservoir? On the BLM website they are listed as species to catch while there. On the IDF&G website it says that Kokanee have been observed. Just wondering if I should take my Kokanee bag and rods too.

2022 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

If you look at the satellite image from the 3rd, it looks like the ice that was out in front of Curlew is now gone. I bookmarked that link from your other post. Very helpful, thank you!

Water level currently Based off this we should be able to launch at Curlew now correct? https://www.usbr.gov/pn/hydromet/ramps/anderson/anderson.html I know the docks are probably nowhere to be found yet. I just really prefer the Curlew ramp.

That road is probably horrible already. Fish are being caught out of LP though. So probably not much need to destroy a boat trailer.

Has anyone been able to launch at Turner yet? I’m assuming the water is still really low. I am just itching to get out and drag some balls.

2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

Headed up tomorrow and was really hoping to read something miraculous happened the past few days. My son and I volunteered to take a couple Veterans fishing as part of the Idaho Backcountry Vets tournament. Even if we don’t boat any fish, I’m sure we’ll have a good time.

2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

Idaho F&G doesn’t care enough about fishing to properly manage any fishery in the state. There’s not enough money to be made in it for them.

Great suggestion! I finally have a sonar with contour depths on the chart. It’s helped tremendously.

2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

Hunting183- Last summer I launched at the dam and Fall Creek. The dam ramp gets very busy and parking is a joke. My bow roller was stolen off the trailer while parked at Fall Creek. This spring I’ve been launching at Curlew. Out in front of Curlew is not very deep. But it can be fished. I head...

2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

Caught 3 and a Chinook today. Lots more boats on the water than there has been. All 4 were caught on the ball at 21’ with a green and white Mag dodger pulling a Green Rocky Mtn hoochie. Was super slow but still a great day on the water.

2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

As of Saturday night we were able to launch and recover from Curlew. I probably won’t get back up till tomorrow or Friday and can let you know if it’s still open. From what I’ve read on here and heard, Idaho Power and Army Corps of Engineers have closed their ramps. Curlew is a USFS maintained...
