That sounds tasty... will have to try it.
We do a simpler version with just cream cheese, smoked kokanee, a bit of lemon and some milk and the trick is to let it sit a day for the smoked flavor to kick in we have found.

Great report... funny thing is there were people chattering on the radio Sat about fishing the "Nate line" as code for their location. :-)
This was on Sat as some from the Friday gathering were out there. Obviously I was out there Sat. Report to follow today hopefully.

HMM..I heard that rumor was not true.... but it is out there. It was open as of 4/15 according to other reports and here is a link to help...

Good luck old school and if all else fails fish the narrows for shelter.

Get out there JT... we need some scouts. Berryessa has risen 5 more feet in seven days so now we need things to settle down.

Good catch and that fish wil be famous for Pardee. Maybe.... just maybe Pardee will turn around a bit and have some decent size fish in the 14-16 inch class on a regular basis. Makes me want to head to Pardee now. :-)
Thanks for all the comments....
You are right... it was two Kokes and a King. I cut out about 3 minutes of the camera spinning in the double and then triple as it takes a while to bring in the fish. I wanted to preserve the camera spinning though as it was literally on somebody's wrist in...
Well not quite yet but I fired up the video editor under a new set of tools and finally hashed together our Lake Berryessa trip video from 9-5-2010. This is a follow-up to the movie trailer I put together a few months back so instead of the 45 second trailer you get 5 minutes of adventure with...
IVR isn't looking too bad so far this year, about 30 ft higher than last year...we just need 4 good years in a row.

Two years ago late spring the fish were literally from the 5mph zone to up river for Pardee. You can never go wrong starting from the river mouth upwards. It's never too much work to get a limit and always good for kids and family for lots of action...albeit with a smaller class of fish.

Quackster - Great tape work and definitely tape them on both sides. My kids love making their own designs that are similar to some of yours and they are effective.
This has been a good thread.... here's my feedback .... a lot of it derived from subjecting myself to hours and hours of...
+1 +++++++++ There is a time and place for everything and I have seen and been out fished by those with dead lures and it drove me nuts! Not the norm but why not try it to see what the fish want.
I do have to say that in my mind the "red" RGT has a lot more orange in it than being a true...
A little reaming with a sewing needle takes care of that for me on the back hook as I double up the leader from front to back.... basically the needle takes out the paint glob.
Here's what I like for an insert....and they came out with a smaller diameter version this year. it also could help you add some contrast or see through color from the hoochies with the fluorescent colors. I used to use beads a lot but then my bead collection was slowly disappearing...
Hey Neptune - the last two I have used iMovie on a Mac.
I am still learning it but it seems to work pretty good. I'm not sure yet whether it gives me as much control as I am used to with my PC tools so I am building a few more movies to see with all my spare late summer footage.

Yep that is what I do on the non-counter reels....and use the same figure on my Ticas or Abu's - 10 feet. I had to figure this out a few years ago when we were jigging and had to make sure we were down 100 to 120 feet.
