I agree with Kelson. There is a variety of kernel sizes in the can. I bought 24 cans at Big Lots and don't see,smell or taste any difference. A buddy of mine has bought Fred Meyer brand and says it works just as well. I think a lot of us marinate the corn in our preferred scent/s.2cents

About the deepest I fish is 60'. I have an 8lb and 4.5lb weight. I get bit equally using these 2 different weights. I have a bit of blowback on the lighter rigger but again not deep water fishing.

I had the" keep on truckin" flaps on my rig. So naturally I had to vote that way. Wasn't there a song called "truckin" back then. If only the 8-track still worked.

Why not add another downrigger? With $600 in the budget you could go either elec or another manual. I rely on a handheld gps to give more accurate speed readings. Have a fun season.
