our east coast stillfishing line specs. for stillfishing at night in ct, that is my specialty we use 4lb test max,, sometimes 2 lb test why????? for our style fishing ,clear water, trout about also,,, and yes trout are lineshy and even kokes when stillfishing.i figire when trolling a koke homes...

zimms crack creme try this stuff called zimms crack creme it works, my hands get dried out bad while fishing too,but a copious amount on before bed time wear gloves to bed and let it soak in overnite,,, it really works you can get it at pretty much any drug store cvs,rexall etc.

ht koke you mentioned the coho at oroville, what happened to them?? and how big did they max out at, and what is a good quality size spawner in the fall for a berryessa kokanee?

i think it is great that your state likes to have a varied coldwater fisheries,to catch king,kokanee, in the same inland lake, where you dont need a huge boat is awesome..cant fish erie or ontario with a smaller setup on the open waters,i enjoy the smaller lakes more,,thats hat i grew up on in...

for me kokes kokes kokes all the way the mudsharks aka kings from lake ontario do not taste as well aa kings from the pacific coast thats for surethumbsup

try deep jigging,, seems to get the larger kokes for me especially prespawn when our kokes are schooled up tight ,just my observation though i am sure some of the great guys on this board have tactics that work for you too

ht your right about that,on our lake erie they stopped stocking coho and kings in 2002, poor returns and growth rates,lake ontario on the other hand still pounds out the large kings and cohos,, they have tons of alewives wich the kings and cohos seem to like.lake erie has tons of forage fish...
