    Bellingham - Samish?

Westy - Lake Samish is a great lake to fish. I am probably partial to it since it is about 15 minutes from my house and the fishing is pretty consistent. Traffic is slow and it is quiet in the early morning. I agree with Buster that the better fishing is after the water warms up a bit but I...

    EGO net

I had an issue with mine last year and they sent me a replacement in a couple of days. Great service! Love the net.

    Chelan "2015"

You got me... I read the first sentence and thought SWEET! haha Chelan is such a nice place to fish. If this decent weather keeps up I am going to make the trip.

    What's everyone using for mono?

The Trilene shows up under black light so I stopped using it. Now I use braided line with a mono leader on a JJ Kokanee rod (very soft tip rod). I like the high vis lines. This is handy running 4 rods and lines out the back of the boat. Easy to keep track of where everything is.

Lake Chelan Get-Together and Potluck 2015. Free Sponsor Gifts and 1/2 Price Guides!

For those wondering... I went last year and had a good time. There was a pretty good sized group of fisher folks that gathered and told stories and shared good food. The vendor gifts were very nice and it was good to put names to faces. If you are on the fence, I would recommend going. Worst...

    Chelan "2015"

Al, I am not sure if I am going yet or not. I would definitely like to attend. Last years trip was fun even with the wind. I will see what rooms look like tomorrow and decide depending on what I find. I will keep you posted.

    lake samish, whatcom county

Redfred, I fish Lake Samish throughout the summer but not really during the winter months. I have tried early runs in the cold but haven't caught much. I doesn't seem to pick up until it starts to warm up a bit. Once it starts to warm up in the spring the fishing can be excellent.

    Chelan "2015"

Nice report Mike. That is better than most were doing during the summer months last year when it was supposed to be good . That makes me hopeful that this year will be better. I fished a weekend with Jeff a couple years ago and had a great time. Looking forward to fishing Chelan again this summer.

    Suggestions for electric Trolling

Carl, On my boat (19.5ft ) I have a 9.9 kicker and 80 Terrova with I-Pilot. I use the Terrova almost every time I am in the boat unless I am in saltwater. It is one of the best investments you can make for a boat, in my opinion. I would never get a trolling motor without the autopilot. It...

This is going to be a LONG winter...

Bogey, Glad to see you got some use out of that new boat. Those are some nice looking Walleye! Thinking about trying that out next spring as well. I have fished around Banks but only for Bass and only out of a Kayak. I will have to give it a shot.

    Down Rigger releases

The Chamberlains are worth the extra couple bucks. Think about how much money we spend on odds and ends around the boat. The release is something you touch every single time you put a rod down. It also helps ensure you get a good hook up and all of the other money you spent isn't wasted. They...

    Electric Downriggers or Divers (Idaho)

Buy them immediately. Worst case you will make a few dollars if you have to resell them.
