    which kicker???

Should get it in a couple weeks after they get the new toys and motors switched out. I won't let them leave it out in the rain so it shouldn't take long :) haha

    Which boat would you buy?

No dents! I got one on my old boat and it was right where I could see it in the side mirror when I was towing it. That thing drives me crazy. Gonna be buffing it out tomorrow when I get it ready for the dealer. I am sure I will never scratch the new one :)

    which kicker???

Bogey, I think you can put the pro on yourself. I put mine on. It takes a little tweaking around to get it just right but it only takes a metric wrench and a screwdriver. Fairly easy. Mine is the pro3 and it is corded. It comes with a sticky mount to put it on the dash but it kinda sucks. Once...

    which kicker???

http://www.cabelas.com/product/TrollMaster-Pro-Digital-Throttle-Control/1159878.uts Here is a link to Cabellas. They carry the Trollmaster. It is basically a servo or tiny motor connected to your kickers throttle. It allows you to incrementally adjust the throttle by turning a knob on a wired...

    which kicker???

I had the 8hp Merc on my Lund. It was quiet and efficient. I put the Trollmaster remote throttle control on it though. That made life better. Trying to get it to the right speed and keep consistency is tough with a tiller handle.

    It's Finally Taking Shape

DLM, That looks like a great set-up. A lot like what I am doing with my new one. I had the 80 Terrova on my Lund with the I-Pilot. I would never have a boat without it again. It really changes the fishing experience. Especially if you are fishing alone. I am having it put on the new Thunderjet...

    Which boat would you buy?

http://mastermarine.com/site/index.php/inventory-listings/car/view/1/120 The picture from the boat show wasn't great so here is a link to the dealers website. By the way, Ben is no longer there. I ended up working with Jim. Good guy to deal with. Much better deal this time. Bogey, We ended up...

    Which boat would you buy?

Wireless. The Tr-1 wasn't 4k like mentioned previously. It was more like 2800 then when we started shaving price it was 2500. I realize a lot of that has to do with the trade value and other things but the initial cost at 2800 didn't seem as bad as I thought.

    Which boat would you buy?

Drum roll please..... I just ordered a boat and put down the deposit. Now I would have to say this is about as patient as I have ever been and some of the most research I have ever done prior to buying something. That being said it reminds me a lot of a saying my dad had... "There is no such...

    Which boat would you buy?

Well if any of you have been to the Seattle boat show I am looking at the 18.5 red Thunderjet that is at the Master Marine booth (off shore bracket). Man it is good looking but it is expensive. I am working out options with them now but I have to think over the number tonight to see if it makes...

    Which boat would you buy?

The way the Lund is set up now I use the I-pilot 95 percent of the time. I use the kicker to help when it gets windy. The throttle control on the kicker made a huge difference as far as ease of use. I have the kicker linked to the main so I can steer with the wheel if necessary. Not a bad set-up...

    Which boat would you buy?

SuperDave- I checked out the Duckworth boats as well. I haven't completely ruled them out but I was a little more drawn to the Thunderjet. It was definitely of decent quality.

    Which boat would you buy?

I bought my Lund at Master Marine and dealt with Ben. He was good to deal with and really helped me get the boat and trailer rigged right. He was pulling adapters out and hooking things up and extensions for wires and didn't charge me anything for the extra stuff. The service department is...

    Which boat would you buy?

Here is a pic of the Stabicraft at the Seattle boat show. Also a picture of the cleaning station/livewell that I liked.

    Braided Downrigger Line

I fished Chelan last year and needed the depth so I switched one to braided and kept one steel. I think I like the braided better. It is smoother and easier to work with. I can also fix any issues with a knife... If I have to replace the other down rigger I would most likely go to braid.

    Which boat would you buy?

Hope everyone is enjoying their new year and patiently waiting for spring... I went to the Seattle boat show yesterday and checked out the new boats. Bogey asked me if I had made a decision on a boat yet. It reminded me that I didn't close out this report and kinda left everyone hanging. I...

    115 Yamaho or 115 Suzuki

At the boat show in Seattle they said the Suzuki had a three year warranty and a "special" adding an additional 3 years. I don't know if it was offered by the dealer or the manufacturer. Extra 3 years would be nice.

Any non/typical fish caught on koke gear?

Last year we caught a couple of catfish trolling with a red wedding ring and one big ole carp. Couldn't believe a catfish would go after a troll rig.

    Lake Chelan Kokanee Fishing

I am going to be there fishing the first week in April. I am renting a house near Manson for a week. We fished Chelan a couple times last year and did very well. I think we were there after April last year when the fish were tougher to find but we still caught a bunch of nice fish. We also did...

    Loosing fish at the boat

Like DFLY, I switched to the Chamberlain releases and it kept us from losing as many fish. It takes a bit to get them dialed in but once you do they work great. They allow you to load the rod so it takes the slack out right away. It also keep you from draggin around little fish unknowingly. Now...
