We started out around 30 but caught almost all of them between 12 and 25 feet. I was surprised. I did graph lots of fish around 40.

    Lucky Peak Kokes

October 3 at LP Just wanted to get the boat out yesterday. We caught a dozen or so koks in a couple of hours near the dam. They are obviously next year's crop, but they looked good. We turned them back, but they are plenty big enough to fillet. Also caught one of those "yellow rainbow" things.

No problem, we have a toilet. Got me to thinking- would that be terrible job or what? Going from boat to boat after the ramp is closed checking toilets. I guess you would get to see some nice boats.

We were thinking we would just anchor up and sleep on the boat. Is there a reason that a person couldn't do that?

Blue Custom Weld with the brown dogs is me. We had some company from Twin up for the weekend. We didn't get that many Saturday. Did much better today, had to make some "adjustments".

    9.9hp vs. 15hp

Great point on the charger. I have a '96 Johnson 4 stroke 8 as my kicker. Quiet, reliable, runs all day on almost no gas. On multi day trips running the auto pilot and electric downriggers, I could use some extra charge. i installed a solar charger, but it is a trickle at best.

We had 5 boats last night, all but one got 6-8 each, so we did pretty good. My buddies all read this but don't post and are giving me SH$! about posting how we are doing so I will probably let up for a while.

    Colored Downrigger weights

If I had a 24 ft precision weld with a diesel engine, I'd paint everything I own that color! Nice boat.

Thanks for posting that. My buddy that is holding the fish did not catch the bigger one, so he is hiding his face. He is a regular reader, but hasn't posted yet

We use white finned 10lb with holographic tape and 3 foot Macks lure "flashlight" trolls with clips at the back and run the dodgers 3-6 ft behind that. We have had great success with that. Perhaps the biggest advantage of being within 8-10 ft of the ball is the ability to turn sharply. When we...

I emailed the photo to luckykoke, he had offered to help. We did better yesterday. An ICY, miserable wind blew hard from dawn 'till about 10:30. When it let up, the bite was on for about 90 minutes. We had 4 or 5 passes through the same spot where either all 4 or 3 of 4 rods went off. Our...

We have a group of guys that goes on Wed evenings. We only had 3 boats last night. Conditions were perfect. I got skunked and have no idea why. We had one boat get 3 and the other get 2. We have been limiting pretty regularly for about 3 weeks now. I've been choking on a big piece of humble pie...
