I bonk and bleed in the boat. Sometimes use the washdown pump hose to spray most of the scales off in the fish box. In to the cooler until return home. I do follow through with the scrub brush to get the scales and slime off when I get home then fillet them out.

I was up Saturday and it wasn't too bad. The area between Campers Hideaway and Speelyai in the middle of the lake was the worst but nothing too huge. We ended up with 8 varying sizes and stages of spawning kokes. Had twin 4 year olds on board and it kept them entertained for a few hours.

I think I followed SuperD's method last year. This year I downsized by one just because they seemed kind of big. Not sure if that was a good idea because the old way work - hope I didn't screw that up. Anyway my setup this year is 2-3-4-5-4-3-2
