Yale Park Docks Repair or Replacement

I ran across while looking for the hours of operation for the other ramps here: http://www.pacificorp.com/about/newsroom/2010nrl/rsc.html Listed under Improvements closure scheduled for September. It looks like it not scheduled until September. Based on their other facilities I'm pretty...

Yale Park Docks Repair or Replacement

I can't remember the dates but I believe this repair / upgrade is already planned for later this year. They will shut down that launch for a bit to get it fixed up. I'm looking forward to it as well!

    Lake Samish

Burlee - what size fish do you catch up there? I have family that live nearby and always debated dragging my boat up when we visit. I've never been on the lake but maybe this summer I'll give it a go. Just curious what to expect.

    Yale reports??

Just my personal preference but Saddle Dam is a much nicer setup. All concrete ramp two lane ramp with a long dock to tie up to and out of the way mostly. Also it sits back in a cove type area so it's usually out of the wind. I do most of my launching and retrieving on my own and this my...

    Yale reports??

Somewhere on one of these Yale threads I offered a report when I got back from fishing up there. Well I tried it on 6-15-10. I got one koke for two hours of trolling and very wet and cold. I launched at Saddle Dam and started up the north shore line headed for Yale Park area. Didn't mark...

    Merwin 2010 Reports

Fished today (6-17-10) from 0700-1200 and had a pretty good day. Not smokin hot but I've had worse. For clarification on this post I will be missing some key parts like speed and depth of water. Apparently the dumb*%& electrician does not know the red wire from the black wire when hooking up...

    Riffe Lake, WA 6.12.2010

Well done Dad! Good on you for getting those boys out on the water. I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with your fish numbers or the fact you made it on the water at 0630 with your two young boys! Those are some nice looking kokes - hard to tell from the picture..... what size are they?

    Merwin 2010 Reports

Agree with Skookum9 101ok101 - Exactly what Skookum9 said. That's the whole reason I spent the xtra money for the downriggers. I'll try to remember to snap a picture of the rigging when fishing tomorrow.

    Merwin 2010 Reports

4-19-10 Fished from 0730-1000 and got 10 to the boat with a buddy of mine. Probably lost another 5 that didn't stick. I've only limited on this lake three times in the past two years and this by far my quickest. Fished across from Speelyai on the south shore. Caught fish at 15-25 feet on...

    Attaching lake trolls to downrigger

I hope I'm duplicating an old effort here. I did some searches and couldn't find what I was looking for. The situation - I like to fight my fish with as little gear on the line as possible. When running my downriggers I run the lake trolls (flashers) off of the downrigger ball and then attach...

    Merwin 2010 Reports

At the ramp at 0630 with duraboat I believe. Sorrow I didn't introduce myself as a KFF guy. It didn't hit me until after you left and noticed that you were in a duraboat. Go figure! Rainy morning with water surface temp 45.5 to 46ish. Ran on top at 30 pulls with red/black WR with a dodger...

Tica Caiman Ca Series Ca 100

Not sure how helpful this will be but I just switched over to a Tica Caiman CM101R. I had been using the Abu 5501's. The Tica's I have do not have a clicker but as far as the reel in general goes I've been very impressed. Only been out once this year but it is very smooth. The Abu worked...

    Merwin 2010 Reports

4-1-10 Sure I'll post my Merwin report hear. After an early morning work session I packed up headed to Portco to fish springers on the Columbia. Much to my dismay the lot was packed and parked to Columbia Way. Not my idea of a relaxing day fishing. Back home - repack with koke gear and on...

    hitch hiker forum warning

Ouch - sorry to hear about that one. I've only taken friends out with me fishing and even if they have boats I normally don't have them driving the tow rig. I know it's easier to drive it off the trailer and all BUT stuff happens. I had a buddy snap a brand new salmon rod in half last week...

    Anchors

For what they cost (at least the river anchors) I'd think you could do well on re-sale on Craigslist or related sites. I would guess you would need to do local only because shipping would probably not be worth it.

    Boat name...

That's too funny! I have the same problem of socially acceptable name I came up with. My wife doesn't give me much if any grief about me buying fishing gear but I always tell hear there are worse addictions to have. My saying is "it ain't coke and whores". Coke in my proposed name...
