    Hittin' Koocanusa on Sunday...

Good fishing. We'll be checking the Thompsons every once in a while now. At Koocanusa we usually put in right at the dam on the west side. Next year I'm covering the entrance to the boat shed so we're not fighting ice, and that's the real problem, not the snow. P

    Your KFF Name?

I've specialized in Swiss Rifles for a very long time, more than 35 years. The rarest of the Swiss Rifles is the zfk55 Sniper. With only 4,000 of them ever made, and a very few in the US, I happen to own one. We spend a lot of the winter time in the reloading room. And my son, Latigo is a huge...

    SnowSnowSnow......

This is that same deck last spring with my wife's "raised" Montana Bluebirds. She feeds mealworms to the parents evry year and we get maybe 15 youngsters between three clutches. They're so tame they actually sit on her when she's out on the deck. The hen The Cock A few of the youngsters...

    Sick Day Excuses

Just one I ever caught. About 6 or 7 years back I had a high school student here on a trainee program. One friday morning he called in and announced in a loud, clear voice that he would be out until monday because he had " contacted laryngitis" and couldn't get out of bed. P

    Bimini Tops and Koke fishing

Go here, down at the bottom of the page. http://www.foreandaftmarine.com/biminitopHARDWARE.htm We have them all along both gunnels, but........ be advised..... It takes two different sized Bimini tops to work on most boats since the gunnels are wider at the stern and taper toward the bow and...

    Bimini Tops and Koke fishing

Its going to be a while before I can get to the boat and take a picture with the tops up, but I have two Bimini's. One forward, one aft on a 16' Jon boat with a 35 horse 4 stroke. Those two Biminis cover the entire boat. We use the fore and aft Biminis when its just too darned hot to fish in...

    SnowSnowSnow......

By friday it was looking like I'd be able to get to the boat shed. I could hear the Kokanee beating on the underside of the ice, so I dropped the plow off the truck. The good Lord, seeing my brashness, gave me a resounding and specific answer. 7" of new snow!! The rails and foofs were snow free...

Holy camoles, Skip! McGregor and the Thompsons are still frozen solid here by the house. I can't even get the boat out of the shed yet. We're still two feet deep in snow around back. I should have kept the boat in town at my son's place............inside! I'm betting its gonna be another two...
