Hey Ron, Good to hear you're back at it. I'm thinking of a trip out next week . I'm itching to get back into some kokes. We did our annual trip to Apalachia a couple of weeks back. We rented a cabin and mostly fished mid lake. We got into some nice fish.

We sometimes get walleye, yellow perch, bluegill and redbreast sunfish, smallmouth, and rock bass. Any accidental species are in trouble if they are big enough to filet. TM

Bduck I wish we could send some of our excess water your way. Around Asheville our official rainfall total is better than two feet above normal. We are waterlogged and being carried off by skeeters.

Good to hear from you Seadog. I still haven't made my first trip. Hoping to get to Nanty in 2 or 3 weeks. Normally we have good fishing through Aug.(had our best day 8-14 several years ago) If rgarbar doesn't get them all I may be in business. TM

Great job Ron, I'm still waiting on my granddaughter, hope to get out there in two weeks or so. Stay at them. Mark. downriggeral- No kokes in Fontana that we know of . Might be some flushed out of Nantahala, but have never heard of any down there.And none in any other NC lakes.

Nice Ron, I'm anxious to get out there. It's always nice to see the kokes being caught every summer. With all the up and down cycles they see out west I'm afraid the Nanty kokes might hit hard times. Seeing those nice ones you're getting makes me feel like our kokes are doing well.
