Not always The Res Wickiup finicky like a woman. The deap of water affects water temp. That's my thought some res are deeper than lake.

DR I own 4 Elec cannons,I do like Auto stop a lot. It's like Chevy vs Ford. I don't use braid line, Wire works great for me,I see no reason to change. I bottom fish a lot in the ocean with braided line. its not hard to break, when hung up.

Reel choice I did own one low profile Okuma all in all I like, except I didn't like gear ratio vs Dawias model 15. I did pay just about half the amount for the Okuma vs Dawia. I had a friend pick up a Velocity raptor kokanee rod for 53.00 I was very impressed. Nice rod.
