I went on Saturday 4/18 lots of boats out. I could not find them. Its pretty sad when I caught 3 sweet rainbow and I was mad they were not kokanee. This lake seems to give me problems when it comes to catching koks. I have only pulled out 2 on separate days. I am just going to have to put more...

I was skunked. I might now be the worst Kok fisher ever. Water is still up and it was hard to find a school. All the locals I talked to in the area I was staying said nobody was catching. I threw everyting at them. I will say there is a healthy rainbow population.

Who has fished Lake Roosevelt this year? I am heading over in a few days wondering what has been working this year. last year they were down deeper than I was able to get my downrigger. This year I am ready with downrigger upgrade. Whats going on over there! Bill

Went fishing at Alder Lake last Tuesday. Caught a few Koks. Nothing special. Noticed algae on my line when I would reel up to change my set up. maybe the fish were full on algae? Just looking for any tip or tricks to the lake. Bill

it was 51-52 degrees yesterday and today.

Slow day. Water temp is coming up a bit. Finally got the first kill of the season. North of Silcox Is. 20ft down. Nice 13 inch koke. This was the winning setup for the day.

My brother and I were out Friday morning too. from about 9:30 -1:00. we tried fishing the top 20 ft of the water. Glad to hear we were not the only ones skunked. It was beautiful out there and we can't wait to try again.
