Would it make sense to add a braided or wire leader through the body of the hoochie? It seems like the blade's stirrup would eventually wear the mono line down and cause it to snap off??

Did you powder coat those hooks, or can you get them that way? Would powder coating a hook hold up very well? Just thinking of different things to try...
