I called the Lowman ranger district and they told me you can still get to Deadwood via Bruce Meadows, Scott Mtn, or Warm Lake. I would like to go to Deadwood and have the place all to myself as much as the next guy, but I don't see any reason to spread false information.

Based on the verbage in the press release for the closure and comparing to F&G interactive map center, I don't see why you couldn't still get to Deadwood just fine via Warm Lake. I'm going to make some calls.
