What's your best multi specie lure?

If I were limited to just one lure I'd have to choose a Needlefish in the Firetiger color. Seems like it's always been my "go to" lure when nothing else is working. All species, anytime of the day.

    Ethanol Gas for Outboard Motors?

I did a little research on the Internet and found that most sources raved about synthetics. The cost factor seemed to be the most negative thing, but even that was lessened due to the fewer oil changes required. One site rated the synthetics and found Penzoil to be the best, followed by Amzoil...

    Ethanol Gas for Outboard Motors?

O.K. guys, this whole synthetic oil thing has me interested. Anything I can do to be nice to my engines, ya know. One question though, I understand that Lucas is a fine product used for high rpm racing engines, but how does it perform on low rpm engines like our small (9.9 hp) kicker motors? Any...

    Size of weights for downrigger

Pancake weights are more or less just what you’d imagine….large circular weights that are more or less flat with a straight rudder. Round weights are just that. A round cannon ball looking weight with a short fin for a rudder. I don’t honestly know which one is the more popular or effective. I...

    Size of weights for downrigger

Hi Gene. At the depth and speeds you describe I wouldn’t go anything under an 8 pound ball weight and I’d probably opt for a 10 lb weight if I did a lot of trolling at 1.8 mph. I think the 8 lb weight is pretty ‘standard’ nowadays for most applications. At nearly 2 mph I suspect that your 4 lb...

What's In Store For Me At Lake Koocanusa?

Hey Neptune! I launched from Koocanusa Resort and Marina, located on the southeast side of the lake. From there I fished from just above Libby Dam to a about a mile beyond the 10 mile buoy. Caught small Koke's just about everywhere between those two points. Caught them in the middle of the lake...

What's In Store For Me At Lake Koocanusa?

Hey yawl! Just returned and have the following to report. Don't know what to say about the Koke fishing. Caught two that were 12" long but most of the other hundred were between 8 and 10 inches. I've never made it a practice to keep fish this small but evidently there are a lot of people that...

What's In Store For Me At Lake Koocanusa?

I'm planning on fishing Lake Koocanusa in a couple of weeks. I've never fished there before and was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me of the better areas to fish and what to use. I'll be fishing for Kokanee and Rainbows.

Is Calif allowing boats in from out of state?

Just an F.Y.I., Lake Tahoe won't let you launch until your boat's inspected. Cost is somewhere around $30 I've heard.
