I still emphasize knowing the habits of the fish you are after...Kokes eat zooplankton...not minnows and such primarily...so they congregate where the main biomass of their food is...so we have to deduce from the conditions of the lake where they will likely be concentrated...not to say you...

Rafting...LOL...your attachments didn't work...Me and my buddy were out with his toddler son a week ago and Johnny has been trying to teach his boy how to say FISH ON! But instead it comes out as SH*&S ON! Which is actually pretty funny...Last time we tried to get him to call me Jimbo...and now...

Well my guess as to why you didn't limit both days is that you were fishing too deep...don't look at the fish on the sonar trying to find kokes...they seldom mark on my lowrance and when they do I don't get bit much...the biggest thing to remember is that they prefer water in the 52 degree...

    Home made kokanee lures

Not the wee tad...its a Crystal Basin Lil' Devil...they have been my go to lures since Todd turned me on to them...my hoochies took the back seat to these lil guys...

    Home made kokanee lures

Interesting thread...I have tried many things...I also prefer the tandem single hook rigs at about 1/2" between them...Octopus or circles do best...I seldom lose fish once they are hooked...I used to use hand made hoochies I assembled myself...I even have a bunch with color coordinated Colorado...

    2013 Arrowrock Fishing Thread

I went out the other day when the whole valley was getting pounded with wind...Arrowrock was halfway decent...found a few isolated kokes but the day was slow until around 530 pm....the wind kicked up and it started snowing....we were about to call it a day and the action picked up suddenly...we...

    2013 Lucky Peak Fishing Thread

When I bought my boat, I hadn't given much thought to the roller style although that's what I had just purchased...the very first time to the lake I went to Lowell since it was nearby...all the boats I've ever had were bunk style and I could just unhook them and roll on back...so as I did the...

Important message for all new (and veteran) Kokanee information

Its very simple to me Silver...An aluminum boat can easily handle being beached on the sand were as a fiberglass boat will get scratches and damage to the hull from beaching....the best case scenario is the latter anyway...pull your boat around the dock by hand until its clear of the...

Its so typical for LP I don't even fish there often...I prefer the semi seclusion of Arrowrock...Ive spent way too many hours dealing with the clowns on the ramps of LP...one guy last year was trying to put in a sailboat and he pounded the skeg into the ramp and ground it off to a screeching...

    2013 Lucky Peak Fishing Thread

I usually don't go when its windy...boat control is difficult and I usually have a heck of a time maintaining the proper speed....no motor is too slow and kicker at idle is too fast...but I think a sock would give you trouble interfering with lines coming in...possibly a trolling plate on the...

I have... I did it last year...there were a few times on AR that got a little sketchy...but we pretty much always got something from the effort...I remember my buddy and I had to crawl thru the ice fields with one driving and the other sitting up on the nose of the boat breaking ice with his...

    2012 Arrowrock Fishing Thread

Well im not sure where everyone is catching these pigs...Bigggcountry and I went yesterday as well and covered quite a few good areas from 530 to dark and all we managed were 2 decent ones...seemed like we were getting hit and missed alot though...like the bite was off and they were just...
