Well how'd you do Mike? I just don't get it,we got skunked today! Trolled everything at every speed from the C.R. Ramp to the dam,zip,ziltch nada. No riggers just 2oz banana weights. Dag-burn-it.

Yes that makes sense, I love the taste of trout from colder water compared to warmer water. I have also heard some remove the skin.

Well it was a failure. Here we are 3 1/2years later and the kokes are still 6 to 8 inches. What a shame this couldn't get more attention from ODFW.

Ok. I have heard the kokes from Wickiup can develop a muddy taste. We did try Odell last year but my god the wind was just too much .

oldranger do you fish this during the summer also? Seems maybe it turns into a water skier environment.

Yes agreed. That is a positive,did you read that somewhere or did you hear that from ODFW? Not being a biologist I wonder if overpopulation is the only contributing factor or there are other dynamics causing the stunted growth.

It seems like a travesty that this can't be a really great fishery for Kokanee. Well at least for bigger fish. Washington has a great fishery at Lake Merwin and we have Odell on the east side. But with the population growth in Kokanee fishing here in Oregon, ODFW might do well expanding the...
