I'm heading up this weekend. I called to lawman ranger district. They said the clear creek/bear valley road out of lowman has recently been improved. Has anyone been that route? Is it a good way to go in? Im pulling a 17' boat.

I fished the marina this morning. Caught 5 kokanee. 2oz weight 50-135 ft of line. I also bagged my first lucky peak chinook! Here is a picture of the beast.

I was at deadwood last weekend. We went in threw warm lake. Road was average. Fishing was great. A cold front knocked it down for a little friday and saturday morning. I couldn't keep the kokanee off my lines. Herring style pink dodgers seemed to work the best. Caught lots of cut throat...

Your probably going to get a different definition from everyone. I first thought it was when you didn't have a line counter reel and you simply let out a lot of line. I now think most people are just saying they didn't use a down rigger or diver.

I figured out how to post pics! This was 2-22 by the dam. Many others on and boated about 6 other small ones. Lots of trout too. I didn't catch anything until I slowed to .6-1.2 mph.

Boated 4, all 14", 1 rainbow, 0 squaw. I found the depth as my trolling motor was died. I was fishing 50-20 all day(WAY BELOW them). I got about 40 minutes in at the right depth as the motor went form 1.2-.6mph very quickly. Too slow for my blood...

I made it out on 2/9. 50 degrees and sunny! The action was crazy once i figured out the fish were 4 feet deep! Ill be back out by the dam tomorrow if the weather gives me a break.
