    2017 Greenpeter fishing reports

Sorry...try Amazon. Got the new fishfinder today but unless you're a 14 year old nerd, you probably can't figure it out or use it. Screen is the size of a postage stamp and it takes a magnifying glass to see the numbers. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy another Hummingbird 8-AA set...

    2016 Green Peter Reports

Made another trip to Green Peter this morning. Unlike the other morning which was cloudy and no sun, today it was severe clear from sunup with not a cloud in the sky. Launched and started fishing at 6:45 and had eight in the boat by 9am...except only 7 were kokes, the other a rainbow trout...

Anybody been up to GP yet this year? What's the water level? Are there any kokanee biting? Inquiring minds want to know.

    2014 Green Peter Fishing Reports

I don't know about the crawdad population in GP...they're probably everywhere...you might try northeast of the island where it isn't too deep. Will be going salmon fishing out of Westport WA on tuesday and wednesday next week...then plan to hit Green Peter on friday for kokes.

    2014 Green Peter Fishing Reports

What has ODFW been doing at GP regarding stocking? One would think there could be enough spawning area in Quartzville Creek and the middle Santiam above the lake. I think ODFW ceased stocking at Odell Lake some years ago...

    2014 Green Peter Fishing Reports

Thanks for the report, BigBob... Have you tried fishing up any of the arms of the lake or going up to the upper end? I usually fish between Thistle Creek and the island...but that's just me...and my little boat & motor.

    Boatless kokanee

On the north side of Green Peter Reservoir, between the Thistle Creek ramp and Whitcomb ramp, there is a bridge over an arm of the lake the locals call Kokanee Bridge. It is one of the few places in Oregon or Washington that I know of where boatless anglers can catch kokanee. Anybody know of...
