    reaction between hoochies and beads???

Why pay for the added expense of "Store Bought" hoochies, then retie them to your specifications?! You are essentially making a custom made hoochie. Why not just buy the components & make your own?!...Mark

    reaction between hoochies and beads???

Yes a fractional amount of additional weight is associated with the usage of glass beads vs plastic, yet since the action of the hoochie is mainly attributed to the dodger/flasher/sling blade/etc/etc, I don't envision a noticable ( if any) lose of action. We are talking of weights measured in...

    Lake tahoe fishing report

Here's what I do when fishing new waters... Buy a portable GPS. Hire the best local guide. Keep the GPS on in your lunch box whilst fishing. Take NOTE of fishing depths & productive time/s. Purchase the EXACT lures/bait/terminal tackle the guide used. Place the GPS coordinates on the...

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

Not to be "Harsh"...Do you actually think that the diameter of range that your transducer covers is LESS than the few feet from your transducer mounting point to your downrigger weight?! READ your depth sounder manual!...It will tell you the diameter of coverage at various depths dependent...

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

Watch for your downrigger weight/s on your depth sounder as it descends, if/when it NO longer appears on your depth sounder, gives the viewer a relative indication of the depth sounder's cone range from the boat at the depth with which the weight disappears...Mark

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

That's all "Fine & Good"...until there's NO more voltage supply to the trolling motor. I practice & develop systems for "Worst Case Scenarios" ...I would rather have a small 4 stroke "kicker" vs an electric trolling motor...Mark

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

I'd invest in a 4 stroke small engine for trolling 100% of the time before I'd even consider a electric trolling motor. A small 4 stroke does NOT need a battery & in case your main engine fails, will at the minimum "Keep you OFF the rocks" & can get you back to port albeit at a reduced...

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

At what time during the useage of the engine ...Did the fuse Blow?!...............Starting?...Idle?...What percentage of throttle? A blown fuse is usually indicative of a positive wire being grounded, thus creating a "short"...thus subsequently... blowing a fuse. Is the fuse that blew, in a...

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

If you are trolling without the benefit of some kind of autopilot in a lake condition with any kind of wind, when you get a takedown the FIRST move is to punch in the spot as a waypoint/MOB ( man over board) then grab the rod & place the boat into a WIDE turn downwind...once down wind straighten...

Bought a new boat, how should I deck it out?

You benefit from having an aluminum boat. Every possible aluminum bracket can be fabricated & welded to your boat to MOUNT ANYTHING you want!!! Your aluminum boat is a "Blank Canvas"...customize it to your exacting specifications!!! Would definately go HEAVIER than 6lb downrigger weights...
