Fathers Day success We brought home 8 fish yesterday with the largest being 19 1/2”, weighing 2 pounds 10 ounces. All caught between 40 and 60’ deep. Black and white with purple being the main catcher while orange caught a few. Fished Lime Creek and into the Narrows.

I’ve been wondering about this. I have been under the impression that Kokanee have a high mortality rate after release. With that being even higher in smaller fish and warmer temps. Have you ever noticed them not making it after release?

We fished Saturday 4/08 for most of the day. Marked fish in all the usual spots. Just couldn’t get more than 2 to bite. They were caught on green at 9 and 28 feet.

Pauli- I was told they were not able to get any eggs from Deadwood again. So anything planted will most likely be from the late spawn fish coming from other waters.

Lake monster images are out of date by a couple weeks last I looked. Fishing is generally awesome in the open water near the ice. Problem this year is the amount of snow covering the ramps. Unless someone wants to go plow one it will probably be a couple more weeks before the ramps are useable.
